The Ultimate Parrot Care Guide

Here are the “secrets” pet shops don’t share!

“Who Else Desires to Swiftly and
Easily Have the Perfect Parrot – Healthy and Happy For Many Years to Come?”

Some impressive facts around … and why you shouldn’t even consider
having a parrot until you read every last word of this letter!

  • Parrots get unwell easily. It’s a fact; most parrots in captivity survive
just a few years! The fact is most diseases are 100% curable if you identify
what they have, and which medication to give them.
  • Parrots CAN live for up to 60 years … but unacceptable diets significantly
cut the potential long life of your parrot – by not just years, but decades!
  • Parrots thrive when their happy — both physically and emotionally — when
their diets are RIGHT … regrettably there is a ton of *incorrect* information
out there about how to do this

From: Malc Moore, Tuesday 3:23 PM

Dear Friend,

Have you just got a new parrot and have absolutely no idea how to care for
it?

Do you have a parrot that “looks” unwell, and is plucking his feathers
continually?

Are you interested in learning the finest, fastest and easiest way to care
for your parrot so that he lives a lengthy and healthy life, without spending
a bundle of money on supplies?

If you answer “yes” to any of the questions above, then this may
well be the most exhilarating message you’ve read all day. Here’s why…

You’re about to discover a proven system for optimizing your parrot’s physical
and emotional health as well as his energy level. This system works no matter
whether your parrot is sick or healthy.

Now here’s the thing: Parrots are very fragile creatures

They get sick easily, and they can die easily.

What you possibly don’t know is that disease and premature death can be completely
prevented by providing them with the proper diet and attention from the start!

When you recognize how to meet your parrot’s dietary needs, you can sit back
and relax because your parrot will stay healthy.

What most people don’t appreciate is that providing your Parrot with the correct
diet is really simple to do. I know, because…

I’ve been looking after and breeding parrots for more than 25 years!

In that time, I’ve developed a foolproof ‘formula’ for feeding parrots, setting
up a healthy cage environment with perfect health and diet conditions that maximize
your parrot’s health and energy for years to come, and virtually eliminate any
chance that your parrot will ever get sick.

I’ve compiled all my knowledge into an easy to follow, downloadable guide called
“The Ultimate Guide to Parrots: Secrets to Adopting and Raising a Healthy,
Happy Bird.”

This system is guaranteed to teach you everything you need to know about parrot
care and greatly reduce the risk that your parrot will face those emotional
problems that beset so many of these birds who are kept as pets.

I know that’s a bold promise and it might sound a little “over the top” …but
it’s true, and I can back up every word.

Here Are 3 Excellent Reasons To Believe Me When I Tell You Your Parrot Will Live a Lengthy and Disease-Free Life

Yellow Headed Amazon Parrots Guide

The Yellow Headed Amazon parrots are originally from Mexico’s coastal regions, these birds have become popular pets, mainly because of their beautiful markings. These parrots are mainly green in color with a spectacular yellow head and a patch red on each wing. They can also be found further south in Honduras, Belize and Guatemala. They mostly prefer an habitat which is mainly tropical or subtropical forest, mangrove swamps, savannas, and land that has been cultivated, and trees are available for nesting. Yellow headed Amazon parrots are considered to be rare and are on the endangered species list, this is because of deforestation which has resulted in nesting habitat loss, and poaching.

Yellow headed Amazons which are captive bred are easy to find for pets, but can be very expensive. There are one of the most popular of the parrot species mainly because of their ability to talk. When it comes to talking that are second only to the African Grey parrot which is considered the best talker. The interesting thing is all Amazons are more than capable of speaking, however,  not all do. Their ability to talk varies from bird to bird, and some are excellent talkers while others never talk.  Yellow headed Amazon parrots are funny, active and extremely intelligent birds.  They just love attention will sometimes be loud and playful to ensure they get it. They are supposed to be the noisiest of all the Amazon parrots. However it is possible with a bit of training to replace the screeching with speech.

Yellow headed Amazon parrots are a very active birds that thrives in an environment that allows them to move around and fly. The best option is probably an aviary, but they can manage in an Indoor cage so long as they get plenty of daily exercise. These parrots are very easy to tame and train. Unfortunately, one negative aspect of Yellow headed Amazons is they can be destructive. To combat this owners me to offer them lots of branches and chewing toys.

They can grow will to average length of 15 inches, with females being slightly smaller than the males.  Yellow headed Amazon parrots have a strong, hooked beak that is used for cracking nuts and seeds but also for climbing, their feet is also used for climbing. Amazons have two toes pointing backwards and two toes pointing forwards, this makes them great for gripping branches, and for holding their food.

Yellow headed Amazon parrots living in the wild eat a variety of nuts, berries, fruits, and leaf buds. There will also eat agricultural crops such as maize. When living in captivity they birds like to eat fruit, nuts, vegetables, berries and parrot pellet food. All parrots need good nutrition to keep them healthy and happy.

One of the things to consider when thinking about owning one of these beautiful birds, is the fact that they live long lives, so they will need commitment from you the owner. Yellow headed Amazon parrots live from between 60 to 80 years. However, you can be sure that if you decide to get one they will give you many hours of pleasure, entertainment, and companionship.

The Beautiful African Grey Parrot

The Beautiful African Grey Parrot

The African Grey parrot is probably one of the most beautiful and easiest parrots to keep in captivity. They are originally from Central Africa, they are known for the exceptional talking ability and the high intelligence. African Greys generally communicate well with their owners and are capable of developing a large vocabulary.

These birds are medium-sized normally growing to about 10 to 14 inches. African Grey parrots come in two different types. There is a Congo African Grey parrot, which is light Grey and has a red tail. The Timneh African Grey is a darker charcoal Grey with a maroon tail. Generally the males are larger than the females. Male birds and normally 12 to 14 inches in size. Both sexes actually look the same, however, the female Congo African Grey parrot usually has a more slender neck and narrower head.

These parrots require an owner, who will make a long-term commitment to them. It’s not unusual for African Greys to live up to 60 years. Because of their high intelligence, African Greys require an owner that is experienced and who can understand their needs. They need to be stimulated and be in an interactive environment or they will become bored. African Greys definitely need their intellectual needs looked after, otherwise there boredom may turn into behavioral problems.

Since they are so sensitive this can lead to behavioral problems. It seems that even small changes to their daily routine and surroundings can lead to an African Grey parrot becoming cranky and frustrated. In the most part these birds are typically well behaved and great pets, however there can be challenges. Undisciplined African Greys can get into some trouble. They can sometimes bite and chew things. They can quickly pick up behaviors therefore if you unintentionally show them bad habits, it will be just as easy to reinforce good ones.

Because they are very social birds, African Grey parrot’s make fantastic pets. They will typically flock together in the wild. An African Grey parrot living in a home environment will usually adopt the family into their flock. There has been reports of them actually cuddling family members. Even though they don’t always like physical contact they seem to enjoy head scratching and petting. The birds strange signs of affection will not put off an experienced African Grey owner.

African Greys use regurgitation as a deep sign of affection, and will even try to kiss their owners. It is not recommended that you allow the bird to kiss you, because humans mouths contain bacteria that is harmful to the birds. It is also very important the owners really understand the birds need for companionship.

The African Grey parrot has a great personality and human like qualities too. Those of us who are fortunate enough to own one will be able to see an intelligence that not many other animals can equal.

and Dealing With Possible Parrot Problems

Attracted by their amazing colors, they’re wonderful personalities, and of course their intelligence, many people have been attracted to having parrots in their lives for generations. Looking after these birds in the home can be quite challenging, but with the appropriate , they make great pets and you shouldn’t have many of the parrot problems.

Unique species of parrots need different care but, for all parrots, correct nutrition is essential in preserving a good quality of life. Most parrot diets are very alike. In general, parrot diets consist of fresh fruits and vegetables, parrot pellets, and a high quality of vitamin enriched parrot seed mix. Owners also need to change their parrots water daily.

Even though birds are generally thought of as a dirty pet to own, it is important for the parrots cages to be kept clean. Dishes, perches and all areas of the cage should be cleaned on a daily basis with mild soap and water. Remember, using cleaning products such as ammonia and mildew cleaner will irritate the parrots skin, and respiratory tract.

The birds cages should also be inspected for anything that could be unsafe like the metal being rough and sharp. Cleanliness is also important when it comes to caring for your parrot. Owners need to clean their hands often when they are working with birds, handling their dishes, and making their food in order to prevent bacterial infections.

The saliva of humans is also harmful to parrots because it contains bacteria, therefore, they should never let their birds to their beaks in their mouths. The size of the cage is important in our care. There should be enough space within the cage for the parrots spread their wings. There should also be enough room to for some parrot toys.

Parrots actually have the ability to form strong bonds with humans. Generally, smaller parrots can have a lifespan of fifteen to thirty years and big parrots can live on average fourty to fifty years. Owning a parrot is a long-term commitment. Socialization is critical in preserving a high quality of life for parrots. Their cage should be placed in an area where the people spend a lot of their time and are able to interact with the bird. Kitchens are not a good place to put because of the risks while cooking.

When it comes to most people don’t think about grooming.   Their beaks and nails, actually, don’t stop growing. They should be manicured every four weeks. Long and overgrown nails can get caught up in toys and perches. To prevent flight, many birds owners clip their wings every few weeks. Wild parrots love rain showers, because it keeps their feathers in great condition.

Parrots are playful, intelligent, and affectionate.Owners should understand the importance of the needs and take care of every one of them. With correct and proper care, parrots will be happy and thrive in the home environment.
